Located in our manufacturing plant in Botevgrad, Bulgaria, our quality department is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving an integrated management system that ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence across thermal printing products and manufacturing processes.

1. Quality Management System (QMS) governance


The quality team defines and maintains the process-based Quality Management System (QMS), including:

  • QMS documentation, procedures, and records control.
  • Risk-based thinking embedded across product realization processes.
  • Change management and configuration control.
  • Internal audit planning, execution, and closure.
  • Management review facilitation and KPI tracking.

Special emphasis is placed on traceability, documentation integrity, and lifecycle control for thermal printheads, printing mechanisms, and critical subassemblies.

2. Product quality & regulatory compliance

(ISO 13485:2016 – ISO 9001:2015)


The team ensures that products meet customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including:

  • Design and development quality controls (design reviews, verification, validation).
  • Risk management aligned with product use, failure modes, and safety considerations.
  • Device history and technical file support, where applicable.
  • Complaint handling and post-market surveillance processes.

3. Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & risk management

(IATF 16949:2016)


Quality leads structured risk and quality planning activities, including:

  • APQP execution from concept through production launch.
  • Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and process FMEA.
  • Control plans for Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) characteristics.
  • Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) where applicable.

4. Manufacturing quality & process control

(ISO 9001:2015 – IATF 16949:2016)


The quality team ensures process stability and process capability through:

  • Incoming, in-process, and final inspection controls.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) for critical parameters.
  • Process capability monitoring (Cp/Cpk).
  • Non-conformance management and containment.
  • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA, 8D).

5. Supplier quality management

(ISO 9001:2015 – IATF 16949:2016 – ISO 13485:2016)


Quality manages supplier-related quality assurance, including:

  • Supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Incoming material quality and lot traceability.
  • Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
  • Change notification and approval processes.
  • Second-source validation for risk mitigation.

Critical suppliers include thermal printheads, platen rollers, motors, PCBs, and coating providers.

6. Environmental Management System (EMS)

(ISO 14001)


The quality team maintains the Environmental Management System, including:

  • Identification and control of environmental aspects and impacts.
  • Compliance with environmental legislation and customer requirements.
  • Waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Environmental objectives, targets, and performance monitoring.
  • Environmental audits and continuous improvement activities.

7. Reliability, field quality & continuous improvement

  • Reliability testing oversight and lifetime performance analysis.
