Our logistics department

Located in our manufacturing plant in Botevgrad, Bulgaria, our logistics department is responsible for the physical movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products supporting our thermal printing printers and mechanisms. The department ensures product integrity, traceability, regulatory compliance, delivery performance, and environmental responsibility throughout inbound, internal, and outbound logistics operations.

1. Logistics governance & QMS integration

Logistics operates within APS’s integrated management system, including:

Documented logistics processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Risk-based planning and change control.
Lot, batch, and serial number traceability.
Record retention and data integrity.
Support for internal and external audits.

2. Inbound logistics & receiving control

The department manages inbound material flow, including:

Coordination with suppliers and freight forwarders.
Receiving, identification, and labeling of materials.
Verification of shipping documentation and certificates.
Segregation of conforming, non-conforming, and quarantine materials.
Protection of sensitive components (printheads, PCBs, optics).

3. Warehousing & storage management

Logistics ensures controlled storage conditions through:

Defined storage locations and inventory status control.
Environmental controls (temperature, humidity, ESD).
FIFO / FEFO inventory management.
Shelf-life and expiry monitoring where applicable.
Inventory accuracy and cycle counting.

4. Internal material flow & line supply

The department supports production through:

Material kitting and line-side delivery.
Kanban, pull systems, or just-in-time (JIT) supply.
Control of Work-In-Process (WIP).
Packaging and handling standards to prevent damage.
Coordination with production planning and manufacturing.

5. Outbound logistics & customer delivery

Logistics manages distribution of finished goods, including:

Order fulfillment and shipment preparation.
Packaging validation and labeling compliance.
Export control, customs, and trade compliance.
Carrier selection and freight cost management.
On-time delivery and shipment traceability.
