Precision in Every Part: a Conversation with our Plastic Department Manager
At APS – Advanced Printing Systems, every reliable thermal printer starts with quality components. The Plastic Injection Department plays a vital role in manufacturing the plastic parts that form the foundation of every product, ensuring each component meets the highest standards before reaching the assembly line.
We spoke with Rumyana Nizamova, Plastic Department Manager, about the department’s responsibilities, the importance of teamwork, and how careful planning and collaboration help deliver customized solutions without compromising quality or efficiency.
What makes me most proud is seeing how teamwork, careful planning, and a commitment to quality allow us to deliver reliable products that meet our customers’ expectations every day.
Rumyana Nizamova
A Department focused on Quality and Efficiency
As Plastic Department Manager, Rumyana leads the team responsible for manufacturing high-quality plastic components for APS thermal printers. Their mission is to ensure every part meets strict quality standards while supporting smooth, efficient production.
“Our responsibility is to manufacture high-quality plastic parts that meet our standards and are delivered on time for assembly.”
Beyond production, the department contributes to APS’s overall success by maintaining efficient manufacturing processes, reducing material waste, and ensuring a reliable supply of components. This allows the company to meet production targets, deliver products on schedule, and continue providing dependable solutions to customers worldwide.
Managing Change through Collaboration
Manufacturing often requires balancing customer requests with production efficiency, quality requirements, and tight delivery schedules.
One recent project demonstrated the team’s ability to successfully manage change. A customer requested several plastic components in new colors while requiring all existing technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery deadlines to remain unchanged.
“The challenge was to introduce new colors without disrupting production or increasing material waste.”
To meet these expectations, Rumyana coordinated closely with the Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Logistics teams. Together, they carefully planned the production changeover, thoroughly cleaned the equipment to eliminate any risk of color contamination, and carried out trial runs before approving the first production samples.
Delivering Quality without Compromise
Introducing changes into an established production process requires careful preparation and constant communication across multiple departments.
Thanks to detailed planning and close collaboration, the color change was implemented successfully without affecting the production schedule. The new components fully met the customer’s specifications, quality standards remained consistently high, and material waste stayed within the expected target.
“Careful planning, close communication, and continuous monitoring allowed us to complete the change successfully.”
The successful project not only fulfilled the customer’s requirements but also demonstrated APS’s ability to adapt quickly while maintaining operational efficiency and product quality.
“The customer approved the new product, production continued without interruption, and our quality standards were fully maintained.”
Production powered by Teamwork
For Rumyana, manufacturing excellence is built on trust, communication, and collaboration.
Daily cooperation between the Production, Quality, Process Engineering, Logistics, and Warehouse teams ensures that challenges are solved quickly while maintaining productivity and delivering consistent results.
She believes that when everyone works toward the same objectives, the entire organization benefits.
“The best results are achieved when people communicate openly, support one another, and work toward the same goals.”
Creating a positive, safe working environment, and encouraging continuous improvement are also priorities that help the department grow stronger every day.
What motivates Rumyana most is knowing that every plastic component produced by her team contributes directly to the quality and reliability of APS thermal printers.
She is proud to be part of a company that values teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction while giving every department an important role in delivering reliable products.
“I’m proud to contribute my experience and support our team in achieving our production and quality objectives.”
In Practice: Producing Quality Components
Every APS thermal printer depends on precision-manufactured plastic components. The Plastic Production Department plays a key role in ensuring these parts are produced efficiently while meeting strict quality requirements.
Whether introducing new product variations, managing material changes, or maintaining consistent production standards, the team works closely with Quality, Process Engineering, Logistics, and Warehouse colleagues to ensure every component is ready for assembly.
This collaborative approach allows APS to respond quickly to customer requirements while maintaining production efficiency, minimizing waste, and delivering the reliability customers expect.
Building the Future of APS
Behind every APS thermal printer is a dedicated production team committed to manufacturing components that meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. By combining technical expertise, efficient processes, and strong collaboration across departments, the Plastic Production team helps support APS’s continued growth and ensures customers receive products they can rely on.
